Grow Tips

Seeds germination:

bullet Put your seeds in properly PH’d water in a glass or jar, cover, and put in a dark place at room temperature. Good viable seeds will start to pop taproots within 24 hours, with maximum germination occurring within 4-5 days.
bullet When your seeds have taproots about 1/2 inch to3/4 inch long. take them and gently put them seed head up with the taproot pointing down, the  seed head should be 1/4 inch below the top of the soil or medium you are using. Leave room to backfill up the stalk as the seedling stretches out to the light. This will cause the plant to extend new  new root shots out from the newly backfilled stalk; giving a larger root mass for the plant and while strengthening and bulking up the stalk. Use very little fertilizer at this point when watering, your seedlings are still quite delicate. ( a 1/4 strength solution would be appropriate till transplanted to larger container)
bullet HINT: When starting seedlings, imitating the spring time light cycle by starting them on a 12 hours on , 12 hours off, cycle will promote 80% PLUS female plants. starting them on a longer light to darkness ratio will promote 50 -70 percent male plants.
bullet After backfilling and the plants are up to their 3rd or 4rth leaf stage they are ready to transplant to a larger container. Waiting awhile to transplant helps build a healthy root ball, which in turn results in healthier more productive plants.

Cloning and Pest-control to come.
